“All Good Things Tomato,” on October 5th and 6th 2013. This celebration was originally held from 1990 to 1997 and brought thousands of festival-goers to the Los Banos Fairgrounds. This year’s festival will be bigger than ever and will feature celebrity chef appearances, Bloody Mary’s, salsa and pasta sauce contests, as well as fair foods including healthy and tomato-heavy recipes. Local performers as well as professional musicians and entertainers will perform on the fairground's stages. Many children's activities will be available for the young.

Tomatoes are a big industry in the Los Banos area. The Morning Star Company is a tomato-processing business that is one of the worlds largest. It represents more than one-quarter of the entire tomato processing in California and supplies 40 percent of the tomato paste and diced tomato product in the United States. Kagome Inc., another major sponsor of the Festival, exports tomato products worldwide. Ingomar Packing has been a major contributor to the industry since 1983.

The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce organizes the Los Banos Tomato Festival and over $15,000 was awarded through the Volunteer Equity Program. This Equity Program allows local nonprofits to benefit from the festival.

Mark your calendars for October 5th and 6th and celebrate “All Good things Tomato” at the Los Banos Fairgrounds. You’ll have fun-in-the-sun while enjoying the festivities. Adults $6, Seniors/Active Military $5, Children (6-12) $2, Children (under 5) FREE.
