From the Tomato WOD Massacre to chef demonstrations to kiddie events - there is something for everyone in the family waiting to be experienced at the 2013 Los Banos Tomato Festival

NEW EVENT! CFVV’s CrossFit Tomato WOD Massacre!

Lock your doors and shut your windows, CrossFit Valleyview is presenting the First Annual Tomato WOD Massacre in collaboration with the Los Banos Tomato Festival.

We here at CFVV have an idea and a simple one at best, to bring the Town’s Community as well as the CrossFit Community into one collaborative event, to showcase the athleticism of CrossFit Athletes and in turn hopefully instill a passion about health, fitness, and lifestyle with the City of Los Banos and attending visitors.

That being said, we’ll host a CrossFit Competition to push yourselves and see just how well rounded your training is going. Whether you workout at a local affiliated boxes, a big global gym, your school, or your garage! Everyone is encouraged to participate. The Massacre will consist of 3 WODS with the possibility of entering in the final five of your division!

Kid’s Entertainment

Kids and fun are an integral part of any festival and that is no different for our Tomato Festival. You’ll find activities like the Bobble Lagoon with 7 foot clear “bobbles" where kids will feel like they are walking on water or take a ridw on the tomato train!.

Children ages 2 to 12 years old can hop on the pedal-powered tractors and see how far they can make it as the weight in the sled they are pulling increases. There will be a total of five heats each day and the event is free with gate admission.

The Kid’s Entertainment stage will feature Jump for Joy Music and local dance and singing groups throughout the weekend. From yummy festival foods to the train ride, there will be something for the young and young at heart to enjoy!

Celebrity Chef Demonstrations & Cooking Classes
The Tomato Festival features a number of demonstrations by celebrity chefs. Presented below are mini-biographies for some of the people who will be presenting.

Health & Wellness Presentations by the Tomato Products Wellness Council
There will be several presentations by the Tomato Products Wellness Council at the Los Banos Tomato Festival this year at the Tomato Products Wellness Council Booth in the O'Banion building.. Of note, they produced a video that shows some of a previous year's tomato festival. You can watch their video here.

There will be many other things happening at the Los Banos Tomato Festival including Pacheco High FFA Tractor Pulls at the Grandstands on Saturday Night, a Farmer's Market, Salsa, Pasta, and Bloody Mary Contests and a whole lot more!
